Terms &

The Terms and Conditions shall apply to services, including the renting of hostel rooms/beds for accommodation, as well as other services provided by The Funky Monkey Hostel. The acceptance of Terms and Conditions shall come into effect through any booking made by the visitor/guest with the Hostel. The House Rules shall also be part of these Terms and Conditions. These House Rules can be found on the website, a printout can be requested by the guest at the reception. During different times of the year (/different seasons) different policies/rules may apply.

• Bookings
  Only guests aged 18 or above can book accommodation at the Hostel. A valid ID is required for check-in. For international travellers, a passport and valid visa as ordered by government regulations are necessary for check-in. Breakfast is not included in standard bookings. 
   

• Group Bookings
  Group bookings of more than 5 people are not allowed, even if the bookings are purchased through multiple, different channels. If the attitude and behaviour of a group are seen as inappropriate or unfit by the Hostel Management, the group will be asked to leave the premises. 
   

• Key & personal belongings 
  If a guest loses the room key a fine of 500rs will be charged. Visitors are not permitted inside guest rooms/dormitories / indoor areas. The hostel is not responsible for any valuables left in the room by the guest, the management does not take responsibility for the loss of any valuables. 
   

• Accommodation
  Smoking and drinking inside the rooms are strictly forbidden. Registered guests will be held responsible for any missing/damaged items in the hostel/room. Outside visitors / unregistered guests are not allowed inside the rooms or dorms. 
   

• Cancellation Policy 
  3 days advance notice for free cancellation (3 Day cancellation policy). Failure to cancel a booking within 3 days will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay. Every user accepts these rules when making a booking. 
   

• Payment and deposit 
  The Hostel reserves the right to charge a deposit for reservations in order to prevent “no show ups” and fake bookings. Cash payment upon arrival accepted. PayPal accepted. Due to high demand during the high season (December) we charge the full amount of your reservation as a deposit. Failure to pay within 5 days will result in the cancellation of the booking. After a reservation was made the management/reception will reach out to the user and provide further information. 
   

• CheckIn & Check Out
  Check-In: 14.00 pm, Check-Out:  12.00 pm. A guest arriving after 18.00 has to give prior notice, otherwise, the booking will result in cancellation. Emergency contact information is required if a guest arrives after 12pm or before 7 am. 
   

• Bike Rent
  Any guest renting a bike must have a valid license. The bikes provided by the Hostel are to be used only with helmets, a valid driving license and by max. 2 people by bike. Driving under the influence of alcohol is strictly forbidden. During the time of rental, the user is solely responsible for the bike and in case of damage fully responsible for repair costs. The user is responsible to park the bike safely - in the event of thievery the user will be responsible to recover the loss and all costs. In the event that a user loses the key to the bike, the user has to cover all costs.
